Youth Missions Day Trip
Church Activities for Youth
Group
A great activity for the youth
in your church to grow both as a group and as individuals is to get
involved in a missions trip. It does not have to be far off into some
other country costing the church a lot of money and time. There is plenty
of work right in your own neighborhood that can be done.

To give back, your youth
group and church members can have a Youth Mission Day where you lend a
hand to people and places in need. You can either volunteer at a homeless
shelter, soup kitchen, or even turn an old, broken, house or cottage into
something beautiful, safe, and new. You can also create a garden, or plant
a tree to help the earth!
The purpose of the Youth
Mission, or, Lend a Hand Day is to work together, as a team, to help people
or places who are less fortunate than us. Find out what your strengths and
talents are and use them to help others. If you like to build, fix, or make
things, than try to build a new roof for an old cottage who’s roof is
falling down. Give it a new paint job or even clean it out and make sure all
the windows are working. If you are creative and like to design, color, or
envision things in your mind, than you can create and plant a beautiful
garden in an empty field or woods where there are weeds and thorns.
Whatever you choose to do,
do it for God. Know that God loves you for using your knowledge, talents,
and power to help them. Remember, as you are working together to build and
create physical things, you are building and creating faith together. 2
Peter 1:3 “As we grow in our knowledge of God, through his divine power he
gives us everything we need for life and godliness.
