Middle C
The
pastor told a story today of man who was sent to a home to live because
his family could no longer care for him. Each morning he woke up and
headed to the lounge and would open the door and ask, "How is everyone
today?"
An elderly man sitting in his wheel chair answered the same thing everyday
and in the same manner. He would take his tuning fork, hit it against his
wheel chair and say, "Middle C." He would say, "Do you hear that? That is
middle C. The piano over there is out of key, Charlie up stairs
plays his violin which is sharp, Bernie sings flat, but this will always
be middle C. It was middle C yesterday, tomorrow, and always will
be.
The pastor compared that to Christ being the same yesterday, today,
tomorrow and always will be, and how Christ should be the middle or center
of our lives. |
