| "mmmmmmm" There is nothing
like a good old fashioned bake sale! No matter what fund raiser you
are planning for your church, if there's people attending, you've got to
include a bake sale too.
Have plenty of volunteers from your church
make 2 or 3 different desserts of their choice. To save time on your part,
asked the volunteers to have some desserts divided or cut up and
individually wrapped in bags for a quick snack to buy. Make sure you
leave some cakes and pies whole in case some one needs a dessert to take
home for the whole family! Make good signs with prices that are easy to
see. Have plenty of change on hand.
Place signs and/or posters around your bake
table informing people what the money from your fundraiser is being used
for. This really does encourage people, and makes them feel good
that they have supported a church project or event!
Decorate your table! As shown in the
photo above, an antique quilt was used as the table cloth for this fall
bake sale that was held in October. Pumpkins and leaves were added to set
the mood for Autumn!
